What does it take to achieve a tail wheel endorsement?

After you have your private pilot’s license, we put you through our training program to learn the intricacies of tail wheel aircraft. Training time can vary a bit with each individual, and pilots can expect 6-8 lessons, 6-10 hours of flight time and probably 30-60 landings in the course of their training.

What subjects does your tail wheel program cover?

Pilots participating in our tail wheel program will expand their airmanship skill through discussion and training in the following areas: aircraft stability, control use and coordination, angle of attack management, energy management, small field operations, grass strip and soft field operations.
